Ingredients of Coconut Rice

  1. It's 1 cup of Basmati Rice.
  2. Lets Go Prepare 1 cup of grated Coconut.
  3. It's 1.5 cup of chopped Jaggery.
  4. What You needis 1/4 tsp of Salt.
  5. It's 2 tbsp of Ghee.
  6. It's 4-5 of Cloves.
  7. Lets Go Prepare 2-3 of Black Cardamom (Badi/Masala Elaichi).

Coconut Rice step by step

  1. Wash the Rice, remove all water and keep it aside. Soak it for 15-20 minutes. In a large vessel keep the water for boiling. Add Salt and washed & soaked Rice in it and cook it. When the Rice is cooked, remove the excess water with the help of a strainer. Keep the cooked Rice in a plate and let it cool down. *Rice should be cooked well and all rice grains should be separated. Do not overcook Rice. *For preparing Coconut Rice, I always use whole Basmati rice..
  2. Now heat pure Ghee in a wok or non-stick pan. Add Black Cardamom (Badi elaichi) and Cloves. Now add grated Coconut and Jaggery in it. Mix it well until Jaggery gets dissolved completely. Add Cashew nuts and Cardamom powder in it. *You can use Jaggery as per your taste..
