Ingredients of Baked Brioche Buns

  1. What You needis 400 grams of bread flour.
  2. It's 50 grams of unsalted butter.
  3. Lets Go Prepare 2 tsp of salt.
  4. What You needis 2 of eggs.
  5. Lets Go Prepare 2 tbsp of sugar.
  6. What You needis 2 tsp of dry yeast.
  7. It's 2 tbsp of warm milk.
  8. It's 200 ml of warm water.

Baked Brioche Buns instructions

  1. Combine the warm water, milk, sugar and yeast in a beaker and let stand for 4 minutes until foamy.
  2. Next combine your flour and salt in a large bowl, adding in the butter. Mix this by hand until crumbly, then add the foamy yeast mixture and 1 egg.
  3. When the dough starts to form, turn it out onto a well floured surface and kneed for about 5 minutes..
  4. Now shape the dough into a ball and put back into your bowl, cover and leave in a warm place for about an hour until doubled in size..
  5. When the dough has risen, cut it into 6 even chunks and shape these into small buns. Place the dough on a baking tray with grease-proofed paper, cover and leave in a warm spot for a further 30 minutes.
  6. Pre-heat your oven to 200C/400F then gently beat the other egg. Use a pastry brush to lightly cover the buns to get that lovely brown crust. Optionally sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Put the tray of buns in the oven for about 15 - 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Carefully remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes on a wire rack before serving. If you didn't add sesame seeds, a sprinkle of flour at this stage is a nice touch. Enjoy!.
