Ingredients of Hungarian Goulash

  1. It's of Ingredients (some subject to your tastes).
  2. It's 1 medium of White Onion.
  3. What You needis 1 tbsp of Paprika (hot if possible).
  4. Lets Go Prepare 3 large of Carrots (chopped).
  5. What You needis 1 of Plain Flour.
  6. Lets Go Prepare 2 medium of Potatoes.
  7. Lets Go Prepare 1/2 box of mushrooms.
  8. Lets Go Prepare 1 large of Red Bell Pepper.
  9. Lets Go Prepare 1/4 tsp of Cayenne Pepper.
  10. Lets Go Prepare 1 of Salt & pepper to taste.
  11. It's 1 of Stock cube (beef).
  12. It's 1 can of Chopped Tomatoes.
  13. What You needis 400 ml of Water.
  14. It's 4 tbsp of Cooking Oil.
  15. It's 1 kg of Diced Lean Beef.

Hungarian Goulash instructions

  1. In a suitable bowl add enough flour to dredge the beef in. Now its up to you what you season the flour with but at this stage I use Paprika, Salt, Cayenne Pepper and Black Pepper. Mix it into the flour then coat all your beef, remove each piece to another bowl..
  2. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed, deep, stockpot..
  3. Add chopped onion and Paprika, fry until onion softens.
  4. Add your beef. I purposely haven't specified an amount as its up to you. I normally use about 1kg myself.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and water, this will help remove any flour that's stuck at the bottom of the pan. Dont add so much water it becomes Too runny though, you can add more during the cooking process..
  6. Add ALL other ingredients.
  7. Transfer to oven at a medium heat or better still a slow cooker.
  8. Taste and stir regularly, I normally have mine in the oven at approx 160°F for 6 hours!!!!.
  9. Serve with fresh bread.
