Roasted Pork Shoulder instructions

  1. Clean off the pork shoulder..
  2. Before adding the seasons you can score (cut into )the pig skin to easy cooking off the fat.
  3. Add the Salt & Pepper and garlic powder on the meat side of the shoulder..
  4. Then turn it over to where the pig skin is face up and add the garlic powder and ground cumin(lighty) to the skin.
  5. Once the pork shoulder is seasoned you can place the chopped onion and yam on top and around the pork shoulder..
  6. Place into the oven at 400 and cook it for a half a hour for each pound. But i usually go for 4-5 hours.
